  Concept
:The game involves hitting target bowls positioned on specially designed mats on 6 different stations :The player throws alternatively first in one direction then in the other direction of the court :He/she is continually in a state of running :Only a regular throw (ie. Bowl hit in a regular manner) allows for progression to the next target bowl from the closer station 1 to the furthest station 6 and vice versa, :Targets range from a distance of 13m to 17m respectively from the 1st line
Doubles Rapid Throw
:This event is played by two teams, each made up of 2 throwers who take turns in throwing. :4 consecutive bowls are thrown by each of the 2 throwers :Positioning of target bowls: Remain fixed for the duration of the game :MEN 1st and 3rd targets: position number 4 on the mat 2nd and 4th targets: position number 2 on the mat :WOMEN & U/14 1st and 3rd targets: position number 3 on the mat 2nd and 4th targets: position number 1 on the mat
Validity of Throw
:Must be a regular throw, therefore delivered from behind the foot line (1st line). :A thrower is obliged to pick up the throwing bowl from the bowl-stand. :In no case whatsoever may the bowl be handed to him/her (throw will be null). :Where three such violations occur, the player is disqualified. :Throw is null if referee notes an incorrect positioning of the target bowl.
Duration & Scoring
:Players with bowl in hand will stand behind 2nd line, waiting for the start signal :The duration of the game is of 5 or 8 minutes. :Each target validly hit within the time set for the game is worth one point :In case of a tie, a supplementary game is played at half the duration (with 30minutes rest between).
